HOW NOT TO PRAY FOR THE U.S. ELECTION
The Bible tells us to pray for our leaders, regardless of how good or bad these leaders are in God’s eyes. In divided times like this, it is very good to be reminded that in Christ, you have a Heavenly Father who sits on THE throne. So no matter who wins the election, the Triune God alone is sovereign over all the earth.
THE GIFT OF BIBLICAL RELATIVISM
The Bible tells you to care for your neighbours. It provides the resources to know true absolutes; fosters the lifelong search for wisdom; leaves a large sphere for freedom; and teaches you to see the “other” as your neighbour.
“Remember that you do no one a favour if you confuse biblical and Canadian Christmas.”
